All kinds of Christians are getting mad about my Sarah Palin comments, and it is pissing me off.
First of all you – you fucking fake Christians – don’t fucking question my Christianity. I grew up in the church. My grandfather was a minister, who is with God now and talks to me in my dreams from God’s corner office. I am a former Sunday school teacher. I taught the Bible to children and showed them how to love God and invite him into their hearts. I believe in God – but I don’t fear him. God is my best friend. God is my ally. God is my boyfriend. God is my best fag. I am God’s fag hag cuz didn’t you know, God is a big fag. Serious bottom too. Butch in the streets, femme in the sheets. That is my God. God is my biggest fan. God gets me, dude.
God wants us all to just get along. He doesn’t give a shit about the profanity. The bitch fucking invented profanity. He thinks it is hilarious. He just wants you to talk to him, and he doesn’t care what you have to say. He just wants to keep the conversation going. Like Jay-Z, he just wants to love you. He just wants you to be able to make your own decisions. God is all about you and what you need. God is happy that you are gay. God made you fucking gay cuz he thinks it is awesome. God understands if you need to have an abortion. That is why he created abortion, on the 8th day. God accepts. God forgives. God loves all of us, even though some of us might have a problem with each other.

Do you know how many times that the Bible has been translated, or even copied by hand over hundreds and hundreds of years ago???? Not only were things lost in translation, but I’m sure some priests somewhere down the line have added or taken out things that God has said. I’m sure that this whole “God hates the gays” thing was put in there by some homophobic priest and bing bang boom….hundreds upon hundreds of years of hatred are brought upon these people.
God is understanding. He knows we’re gonna screw up. It’s expected. He loves us no matter what we do, and that is a good feeling. We shouldn’t be scared of him. We should embrace him. Like Margaret said, he’s our ally.
I find it funny that the Bible teaches us not to judge, that only God can do that because only God knows the true story and what is really up in our hearts. However, I have found that Christians are so quick to judge and condemn something that they don’t personally believe in. IF IN THE BIBLE IT SAYS NOT TO JUDGE (JUST LIKE IT SAYS THAT HOMOSEXUALS ARE FROWNED UPON,) BUT THEN YOU JUDGE THE GAYS…AREN’T YOU JUST AS BAD? Isn’t a sin a sin? Hmm…….methinks I stumbled upon some hypocrites!!!!!

As a person who doesn’t believe in god I think you are taking steps in the right direction to wake up from the hypocrisy you were raised within.
If you haven’t learned from example yet – part of being Christian is to persecute the actions of all others around you while accepting your own actions and short comings as acceptable to yourself (and giving yourself the ok for that).
The truth is – abortion, sex, homosexuality – these aren’t decisions you should look to any god to find out if they are right or wrong. The only thing you need do is remember the one rule of humanity. Would you do onto them as you would have done onto yourself?
If you can not answer that question with yes you shouldn’t be doing it.

I wrote something similar to this the other day, our brains must be aligned! It upsets me reading all these comments that do nothing more than discourage people AWAY from God. I’m beyond sure that if Jesus was around walking the earth today he would be a democrat. GIVE to the poor, don’t judge lest you be judged…I can see how if you believe something then you might try to go out of your way to preventing others from doing it, but if it’s not hurting someone else, then this is AMERICA and you should not judge and punish them for doing otherwise.
Another thing I don’t understand is how pro-war crazy Republicans are when so many of them are religious too…thou shalt not kill? What, that only applies to the unborn? Oh yeah…sounds like God was pro-choice too if he decided to give us free will. It will be great when Christians remember to love and not just live in fear.

hey girl! you say exactly what i want to say about my relationship with God but i am too afraid to say it. i am still doubtful about the choices i make in my life and the way i orient myself. don’t get me wrong…..i know i’m gay, and i am not going to lie to myself for a second, but i am often times worried that my choices might effect what happens to me once my life is over. i know it is probably just because i was raised catholic and that is the doctrine that has been engrained in my being, but i also know that most people believe in organized religion out of fear of having nothing to believe in or fear of burning in hell for all of eternity. so i wouldn’t be brave enough to say what you have said, but know that there is a little bitchy rebel somewhere down in the bottom of me that is screaming the same profanities. love you and hope all is going well!

I am a 53 year old mother of 4 and grandmother of 4 and as I read your blog I thought “this girl knows what God is really about”! The Bible, Koran, Book of Morman, they are all really just marketing tools. The only constant is the Golden Rule and if you work hard at keeping that one, you don’t have time for anything else. Miss Margaret, I would be proud of you if you were my daughter, and I would be proud of myself for having raised a woman who is strong in her faith and brave enough to stand up and dare anyone to question it. you see, i am a christian and I love my God. but when someone equates my God to a human being, and an evil human being at that, that’s when i cannot hold my tongue. If people really read the bible. they would know that GOD loves you no matter what. That is why he is called the all mighty forgiving god. People should not question you on your action. No one is perfect. If you want to be gay, it should not matter becaue love is love. People lose the side of that. Love is the most powerful thing and should be able to share it with who ever you want to. Sarah Palin just needs to shut the fuck up and stop judging people and how they feel.
