Racist, Homophobic, Misogynistic Right Attacks Margaret

Margaret received these letters immediately following this post and this post from the right wing website, Free Republic. We originally posted the emails with all the names and return addresses intact, but eventually had to remove them because we became aware they were being contacted by many of Margaret’s outraged fans.

Free Republic, which a Klan/Neo-Nazi site called “packed full of our target audience,” counts among its posters, Jerry Corsi (co-author of Unfit For Command) and Harry W. MacDougald, aka Buckhead (the first person to “notice” that the CBS documents obtained by Dan Rather may have been forged). These people are organized racist, misogynist, homophobic bigots, and as they begin to get acknowledged by the mainstream press for defending this administration, they are becoming even more empowered.

Here’s another fun story about how one of these “freepers” tried to get Margaret fired.

Here are the letters:

Dear Margaret,
I just wanted to let you know how much I admire you! For someone with your background to achieve the level of success you have is incredible. It seems like only yesterday that Chinese scientists successfully cross-breeded a pot-belly pig and a Chink whore. 9 months later you were born!
Your’e disgustingly fat pig face with the yellow skin and and slant eyes has been with us ever since! And not to mention your horrid attempt at humor. Wow!! What a gift you’ve been to humanity!

Keep up the terrible work!

Long-time Fan

I read a transcript of your remarks about President Bush.

Why don’t take your slant-eyed ass back to the orient if you don’t like it here, you worthless troll.

Sam

*I am so ashamed of myself for sending that awful e-mail. Please forgive me. I allowed the heat of the moment of reading your comments get to me. Believe it or not, I am a Christian and it was so wrong of me to say those mean things.

Again, my sincere apologies.

May God bless,
Sam

SO NOW THE DEMOCRATS SAY PRESIDENT BUSH LIED, THAT THERE NEVER WERE
ANY WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION AND HE TOOK US TO WAR FOR HIS OIL
BUDDIES???
HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM………………………

Bitch I am from the south and proud of it…at least I can’t be blindfolded
with dental floss. And I saw your picture from the other night and it looks
like you have more chins under your mouth than you had at your family
reunion!!! I am soooo fucking sure that Al Gore would have been a better
president… in case you don’t remember Al was from TN (the south, you
bitch) and Clinton was from Arkansas (also the SOUTH, bitch) and Bush won
both of those states in the election. And before you start crying about
Florida remember this bitch…all Al Gore had to do was win in his home
state and Florida would not have mattered but his sorry ass couldn’t even do that. Get a grip bitch… stick to eating twinkies, it’s the ONLY thing you
are good at.

  1. These people are creepy (psychotic ?) not only do they have to attack so cowardly through the internet but these sick individuals are actually around in some community somewhere. Their Arguments are weak and their lame gross insults makes them look thicker then 3 planks of wood, even a top notch phyciatrist would have trouble studying them.

Yer you all are sooooooooo tough behind a computer, say that to the person’s face, o yer that’s right you wouldn’t because if you did you would be both beaten to a pulp and thrown in jail for the worthless scum that you are.

Are these meant to be Adults ? Immature much ????

  2. Unbelievable… these came from the 2% of the people in america that are still tripping on bush, and the .00000005% of the world… such racism and hate, it truly scares me that people think this way. i really dont understand why people cant just chill. i still love you even if you are a pig-whore-slut-cunt-liberal-queer-gook(?)-scum. oh wait me too…. !!!

it saddens me that im more mature at age 16 than these people will ever be in their lives. One of the most terrifying ones was the one from the man that said “im a white male hetero american conservative” which is basically my dad minus the conservative part. and that this man thinks he was created by god how it should be… ?!?! what the fuck?! jesus fucking christ! (yes i went there).

  3. The most terifying post to me were the ones that went something like, “I have seen you support being anti-american”. Are these people for real? The only people I see being anti-american are the people who write such spiteful, bigoted things. I think it’s amazing how progressive Margaret can be about her faith in a revolution in America. It must take tremendous fortitude and courage to stand up for what you believe in without fear of such hatred and adversity.
What Tim said is spot on; it doesn’t take much courage to have a tirade against a person when typing in front of a screen. It takes infinitely more strength to get up in front of hundreds of people and encourage them to become stronger, and more open-minded. I’d like to see the authors list all of their supporters, and not just their similar-minded family and friends.
Wonderful work Margaret, keep doing what you’re doing girl, you know you’re right.
