DIANA YANEZ hails from Miami Beach (Myami-Bish). A first generation Cuban-American, Diana got her early start in comedy as a child while putting on her version of The Carol Burnett Show for whoever would watch (friends, pets, imaginary or otherwise). Her favorite show, she actually secretly watched it after her parents went to bed. Forcing her younger brother to cooperate in many ill-fated childhood showbiz ventures, she ultimately became jaded and decided to leave performing to the birds and instead study fine art in far-far away Berlin, Germany.

But it was at the suggestion of a friend, that a small acting class in Hollywood set her back on her course as an actor at the age of 30. Truly passionate about her craft, you can see Diana's many dramatic appearances on primetime shows including Criminal Minds, The Shield, Without a Trace, Boston Legal, Strong Medicine and Crossing Jordan.

Though she continues to explore dramatic acting roles, it's really comedy that has remained her longstanding passion. Starring in both "Outlaugh" 2005 and 2006, the first ever Queer Comedy Festival in America, Diana has been blazing in the footsteps of Carol Burnett, Gilda Radner, and Lucille Ball by portraying comedic characters as diverse as Queen Alien of Vaginalis 12 to a Dinner Demon. Diana also acted as producer on both Outlaugh Festivals and the subsequent Outlaugh TV series currently airing on MTV's LOGO Network.

As MC Havana, the lesbian rapper, Diana spent much of 2006 opening for comedian Margaret Cho, with her improv partner, Kurt Hall, of the Gay Mafia. She is a featured performer in Margaret's "Sensuous Woman" variety show, playing a multitude of characters. This June, Diana toured with Margaret Cho on the historic 15-city "True Colors Tour," featuring Cyndi Lauper, Erasure, and Debbie Harrie - performing a skit that the two developed together in the "The Sensuous Woman." Diana is fluent in English, Spanish, German and Hilarity.
