Comedian Margaret Cho’s new show "Revolution" is, in some ways, an evolution of her past tours, "I’m the One that I Want" and "The Notorious C.H.O." She still explores many of the same themes, from the media’s obsession with body image, to the oppression of minority groups, to the plight of the Korean American in the entertainment business. Only this time, there is even more raunchy sexual material, and one of the funniest scatological bits since third grade, when poop was always funny.

Clad in a dress made out of hooked together straps of leather (she had decided to listen to the department of Homeland Security and, just to be safe, "cover her entire body in duct tape," she explained), she shared intimate stories about the time her car doubled as a bathroom and her lesbian experiences at an S&M sex club, where she met with a bubbly woman who wasn’t, in Cho’s words, "butch enough."

It’s true that Cho’s bawdy, blue routines are not for the feint of heart (her encore includes a bit about the different ways to style your pubic hair), but "Revolution" is about more than dirty jokes. She’s frank with her sexual stories, yes, but they always have a point. Where else can you find social commentary intertwined with a laugh-until-it-hurts description of the porn industry in Singapore?
