Sick Again

I had a good week when I was healthy, and I thought I was invincible. When you are sick for a long time, as I was, like a month, and then you start to feel well again, you think that nothing can stop you. You don’t have to wash your hands. You can go outside with wet hair. You don’t need a jacket. You don’t have to go to bed early. You can party all you want. You can do this, you can do that. Well, you can’t. I am unbelievably sick – again. After being unbelievably sick for almost the entire month of September, and now I am hearing there is a deadly outbreak of strep throat in Ontario! Ah well, I don’t have strep, but I am fucked up. Sorry for having to cancel my Kitchener show. That sucks the most. However, I will wash my hands and dry my hair and put on a jacket and a scarf and make it up to you in Hamilton!

  1. Don’t forget the good old fashioned cramming Kimchi down your throat to get better, too!
Korea House in Hamilton-that’s the stuff in this town, on top of scarf, hand cleanliness, etc. to frighten away the illness πŸ™‚

    xo!

  2. I’m so glad you hung in there for last night’s Calgary show. You were absolutely wonderful.

Feel better soon. Being sick is no fun. I’ll be sending you good new-agey health vibes.

  3. BITCH! I told you that cock had strep on it! hahahahah I love you and hope that you get well soon!!!!! Now go to bed and stop reading blog comments! ^___^

  4. I hope you feel better. Xoxoxoxoxox
Also that episode about you getting plastic surgery, you donÒ€ℒt need it. I think you look fine just the way you are, and thank god for that.
    ^_^

  5. Hey honey, get well soon, you work too hard anyways, you getting sick is just your body’s way of saying, “mama needs to sit down for a minute” .
Worry about conquering the world another day!

  6. But you’re performing tonight in Indy and tomorrow in Columbus? Wow. You’re a real trooper. I’ll see you tomorrow. I’ll be the one in the 2nd row with my mask on πŸ™‚

  7. Your show tonight in Indy was AWESOME. I’m so sorry you were ill, but you performed like a trouper!

I have to know…who designed the killer military-style coat you wore on stage in Indy? MUST. HAVE. NOW. It was truly gorgeous!

    Feel better soon!

  8. I just wanted to let you know that you were awesome at your show here in Calgary, AB. I loved your show as did my wife and we really hope that you come back here again. Hope you feel better. Take care and enjoy the rest of your tour and don’t forget about us little people here in red neck country when you tour again. Thanks for the great night and nothing but laughs. Your fan Ethan

  9. Hey Margaret!

Hope that you are feeling better, and if you ever need a place to crash while in Ontario, give me a shout! I am currently living in Toronto, you can take my bed and I’ll sleep on the floor.

    Tons of love from,
    Andrea. xoxoxo

  10. I am extremely disappointed in not being able to see you live in Kitchener. In all honesty the date you chose really was not a good one since you chose the Sunday before our Monday (Canadian) Thanksgiving PLUS our Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest just started this past Friday. You made it hard for everyone to see you. Was hoping you would do your show & then enjoy Oktoberfest and some great German Food. Either way Ms Cho, I do hope you will have some time in future to come to Kitchener and show us how great you truly are cause I’d really love to meet you. Hope you feel better.

  11. I’m sorry that you’re feeling so under the weather that you had to cancel the show – thanks for bearing it & performing in Indy! We totally would’ve understood if you couldn’t pull it off. You rocked!

I’m working on taping up the book my dog destroyed – I forgot to mention that the other night after having a few drinks, I thought that I should have you sign the gayest thing in my house in lieu of the book. I decided that an art deco pyrex glass butt plug was the gayest thing I owned, but then I sobered up and thought better of it.

    Feel better!

  12. Hey Margaret,

It was amazing to meet you. I’m sorry you were feeling so bad, but you fucking rocked anyway! Also, thank you so much for attending the after party. If I were you, I probably wouldn’t have in your condition. It really says a lot. I was DJing the entire time you were there which was a bummer! I hope you feel better soon. Get some much needed rest after tonight!

  13. I’m so sorry Indy had to go and make you sick! I was bummed enough that you came here and I couldn’t show up and zaghareet for you. Get better, remember this time, you’re NOT invincible;)

  14. Sick or not, you are still fabulous and your fans will understand. I’m so excited to have found your blog. I didn’t know you had one, but I love your work. Get well soon. Your fans will still be there and your health and happiness are what allow you to do what you do so well.

  15. I’ve heard Emergen-C is better than Airborne. I’m not an expert but I’m like you, I take my preventative shit in the hopes I don’t die from pneumonia every winter!

Also, let me say, if you DO get sick, TAKE Sambucol Immune System Syrup. It helps me immensely.

  16. i’m so sorry that you’re sick, but i am SO HAPPY that you were still able to perform in Indianapolis! you were amazing!

  19. Hi Margaret,

Thank you so much for coming to Hamilton on Friday even though you’re just getting over being sick! We really appreciate it and hope you as much of a great time as the entire audience I’m sure did, you made us laugh so hard my cheeks still hurt (and I love it when my cheeks hurt!).

Feel better soon and stay fabulous!
