Tila Tequila

I love Tila Tequila and in many ways I consider her my spiritual daughter. She is a beautiful Asian American woman with a head for business and a bod for sin. She rules and she’s got tattoos!! Oh and she is bisexual!! She’s great and I think her show “A Shot at Love” is groundbreaking and fabulously entertaining. I always find that I am rooting way more for Tila to get with the girls than the guys. It seems like a girl would be a better match for her, because the boys on the show are either too needy/clingy or too macho. They always seem to cast macho dudes who enjoy fighting because the season isn’t complete unless at least one contestant has to go to the hospital.

My favorite is tough girl Lisa, who gets in lots of fights with Tila, but then they totally make up right away and it is very sexy. Totally old school butch/femme style. I’m a bit behind on my episodes so I need to catch up this week on what is going on. Hoping Lisa is still in the running! I should have just asked Tila myself. I saw her at the Bravo A-list Awards on Wednesday looking hot and sitting in the front row right by all the Project Runway alumni. We didn’t really talk or anything – I just told her that I was a fan and she was really sweet. She seems very sweet on the show, because she tends to get very emotional and attached to everyone pretty quickly.

Sometimes people complain and say that the show is all fixed fake and that Tila isn’t really queer and it’s all bullshit, but I don’t believe them. I think it is real, and even if it isn’t – who fucking cares? We have a major hit TV dating show that revolves around a queer star. The real identity of the players or the legitimacy of the game isn’t important to me. What is important is that people like Tila, which means people like me, are no longer invisible. We are here, we are queer, and everyone is getting used to it.

  1. You should check out Gimme Sugar if you like shows with queer Asian American women. I have yet to see it myself, but heard what it was about and look forward to watching.

I also liked Lisa, she was badass and won every single contest!

  2. I’m not too fond of these shows. But I can not deny that the presence of the people on the show and who they are in real life. They’re here just like I am a straight supportive man and have the right to be here too.

  3. OMG I totally have a crush on Lisa. SOOOOOOOOOOOOO sad she was kicked off. Did anyone see the season finale? It was totally not cool at all.
