Here is the amazing poster from last weekend’s shows at the Warfield in San Francisco, done by artist Jason Mecier. It is made from a bunch of my garbage, which I sent him a little while ago. It is really extraordinary and certainly something not just freegans will appreciate! I love it and I am going to be purchasing the original so I can see myself immortalized in all those weird things that are in my drawers all around the house. I am kind of a “clutternut squash” because I like to keep everything I have ever purchased. All of my storage spaces are filled with manuals of appliances long dead, walkman headphones and motel matches, soy sauce throughout the ages, bobby pins and cassette tapes, feathers and cables and lint – oh my! This portrait makes me glad I kept it all!
Ohmigod! That is so cool, and the fact that it’s your junk makes it ever so much more personal. Just remember, if you ever wonder where the remote is, check your hair.
Mmmm…Sriracha and Mochi ice-cream. P: Wicked portrait!
Holy crap, you’ve been immortalized by Jason Mecier! That is a seriously awesome piece. His talent blows my mind more than a little.
P.S. Trojan Magnums? GO ON!
what are the teeth made of?
Hey lady, I saw you at the warfield last week and we really loved the poster too so I was really excited when I went to the coffee shop near my house and saw it framed on the wall. It’s at Coffee To The People at Masonic and Haight.
That is the coolest fucking thing ever.
EVER.
If I could have myself immortalized in my old junktreasures, I would be the happiest packrat evah.
