R.I.P. Stanley Tookie Williams

I don’t know why it surprises me that they executed Tookie last night, but somehow I thought that this was all an elaborate staging for a last minute reprieve. It seemed impossible that they would put him to death, with so much public protest, with so much to say in his defense. If they can kill him, they can kill us all, without reason, without mercy.
